- support and correspondence records, including enquiries, complaints and account-support communications;
- marketing preferences and consent records;
- technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, login/security logs and cookie or similar-technology data; and

We do not generally need or request sensitive or special-category information for Core Membership. Please do not provide health, political, religious, biometric, criminal-record or other sensitive information unless we specifically request it for a legitimate purpose and explain how it will be handled.
2. How we collect personal information
We usually collect information directly from you when you create an account, purchase a membership, complete a form, contact us, participate in the community, submit an opportunity, book a call or purchase another service.
We may also receive professional or business information from public sources, referrals, commercial partners, service providers or information you make publicly available. Where privacy law requires us to give you additional notice about information obtained indirectly, we will do so.
3. Why we use personal information
We use personal information only where we have a legitimate business or legal reason to do so. Common purposes include:
- creating and administering your membership account;
- processing payments, invoices, renewals and cancellations;
- delivering member resources, opportunity intelligence, market reports and community access;
- providing audits, calls or other services you purchase;
- responding to enquiries, support requests and complaints;
- moderating the community and enforcing our Terms;
- protecting accounts, preventing fraud and maintaining platform security;
- improving the website, member experience and resources;
- sending service communications required to operate your membership;
- sending marketing communications where permitted by law and consistent with your preferences;
- complying with accounting, tax, legal and regulatory obligations; and
- establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.
4. Lawful bases for EEA and UK users
Where the EU GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on one or more of the following lawful bases:

Where we rely on legitimate interests, those interests may include operating and protecting the platform, understanding how the service is used, preventing abuse and running our commercial operations. We balance those interests against your rights and reasonable expectations.
5. Who we share personal information with
We may disclose personal information only where reasonably necessary to operate the service, comply with law or protect our rights. Recipients may include:
- hosting, website, membership and infrastructure providers, including services used to operate WordPress and MemberPress;
- payment processors presented at checkout, which may include Stripe or another payment provider;
- scheduling and video-meeting providers such as Calendly and Zoom where those services are used;
- email, customer-support, analytics or security providers that we choose to use;
- Meta/Facebook where you choose to participate in the private Facebook Group, noting that Meta separately processes information under its own terms and privacy policies;
- professional advisers such as accountants, lawyers and insurers;
- authorised staff and contractors who need access to perform their role;
- regulators, law enforcement, courts or other parties where disclosure is required or authorised by law; and
- a purchaser, successor or related entity if our business or the platform is restructured, sold or transferred, subject to appropriate protections.
We do not sell personal information to advertisers.
6. International data handling and transfers
We are based in Australia and use service providers that may process information in Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area and other locations in which those providers lawfully operate.
Where Australian privacy law applies, we take reasonable steps appropriate to the circumstances when disclosing personal information overseas. Where the EU GDPR or UK GDPR applies to a restricted international transfer, we use an approved transfer mechanism or other lawful safeguard where required, such as European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum, an adequacy mechanism or another lawful exception.
You may contact Team@brimbravo.com if you want more information about the safeguards used for a particular transfer.
7. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected, to operate the membership, comply with law, resolve disputes and protect legitimate business interests. As a general guide:
- account and membership records are generally kept while the account is active and for a reasonable period after it ends;
- financial, invoice and transaction records may be retained for up to seven years or longer where law requires;
- audit and service materials are generally kept for the period reasonably needed to deliver and follow up the service, then deleted or de-identified when no longer needed;
- support and complaint records may be retained for a reasonable period after resolution;
- marketing records are retained until you unsubscribe or we no longer need them, while limited suppression information may be retained so we can respect an opt-out; and
- cookie and consent records are retained for the period reasonably necessary to demonstrate and manage your preferences.
We may retain information for longer where required by law, where a dispute or legal claim exists, or where deletion would interfere with another person’s rights. We may retain de-identified information that no longer identifies you.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Measures may include access controls, secure hosting, authentication, restricted staff access, software updates, backups and security monitoring.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your own login credentials and notifying us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
9. Your privacy rights
We may send marketing communications where we have your consent or another lawful permission to do so. Marketing emails will identify the sender and include an unsubscribe method where required by law.
You can opt out of marketing at any time. Opting out of marketing does not prevent us from sending service messages that are reasonably necessary to administer your membership, payment, security or account.
10. Marketing communications
Speaking opportunities and calls for speakers are provided as opportunity intelligence. They are not endorsements, guarantees or promises that an organiser will accept, book or pay you.
Where possible, we may describe an opportunity as paid, unpaid, trade or pay-to-play. That description is based on the information reasonably available to us at the time and may change.
You are responsible for independently verifying the organiser, deadline, eligibility, fees, travel, accommodation, commercial terms, safety and suitability before applying, paying money or entering an agreement.
A pay-to-play label is a disclosure, not a recommendation to purchase the opportunity. We may remove or update listings at any time if information changes or concerns arise.
11. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies for functions such as login, security, payments, preferences and, where enabled, analytics, video embeds and marketing. Our Cookie Policy explains the categories we use and how to control them.
For visitors in the EEA and UK, non-essential cookies and similar technologies are not intended to be activated until valid consent has been obtained. You can change or withdraw cookie consent through the Cookie Settings link on the website.
12. Automated decision-making
We do not currently use personal information to make solely automated decisions that produce legal effects or similarly significant effects on members. If that changes, we will update this policy and provide any additional information required by applicable law.
13. Children
The Future of Speaking is a professional service intended for adults. Membership is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children for membership purposes.
14. Member community
Information you post in the member community may be visible to other authorised members and community moderators. Do not post confidential, sensitive or third-party personal information unless you have the right to do so. A private group reduces public visibility but does not guarantee that another member will keep information confidential.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this policy when our technology, service providers, legal obligations or information practices change. The current version will be published on the website with its effective date. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
16. Privacy complaints and contact
Privacy enquiries, access/correction requests and complaints can be sent to Team@brimbravo.com.
We will review privacy complaints and respond within a reasonable period. If you are in Australia and remain dissatisfied, you may have the right to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. EEA and UK users may also have the rights described on our Privacy Rights & Requests page.

Practical resources, opportunity intelligence and a clearer path to the right buyers.
